BIOGRAPHY

The Director of Neurology at JurongHealth Campus is Dr. Aftab Ahmad. He is employed with Ng Teng Fong General Hospital as a consultant. In 1994, Dr. Ahmad received his medical degree in Pakistan. Prior to completing his specialist training in neurology at the National University Hospital in Singapore, he earned his MRCP in the United Kingdom and his fellowship in general medicine in Pakistan. After being given the Healthcare Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award, he continued on to Canada in 2013 to do his fellowship in Stroke & Cerebrovascular Disease. Transient ischemic attack and ischemic stroke are Dr. Ahmad's main research interests. He has written articles and delivered abstracts at numerous prestigious international scientific conferences.
