Dr. Jack barkin

The medical director and founding partner of Can-Am HIFU is Jack Barkin, M.D. On how to administer HIFU properly, he has educated over 25 urologists. He served as the past Director of Surgery and Surgical Oncology at Humber River Hospital, as well as its Chief of Staff and Past Chief of Urology. Dr. Barkin has over 25 years of experience in clinical research and has served as the main investigator for more than 250 domestic and foreign clinical medication trials. He introduced several medications in Canada, including Viagra, Levitra, Cialis, Androgel, and casodex. Erectile dysfunction, benign and malignant prostate illnesses, male menopause, bladder cancer, and innovative urologic technologies and techniques are among his clinical and research interests. At the University of Toronto's medical school, Dr. Barkin received honours. He participated on various medical advisory boards and has over 80 peer-reviewed articles from his significant publication in urology and medical journals. In addition to examining abstracts for several international urologic events, he also reviews manuscripts for many additional urologic journals. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCS), and a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) (DABU). He is one of the few Certified Canadian Physician Executives and holds a Master's degree in health care management.
