Dr Shankar Kurpad

Dr. Shankar Kurpad earned his MBBS from St. Jones Medical College in Bangalore in 1996. Dr. MGR Medical University gave him a Diploma in orthopaedics in 2002. Dr. Kurpad also received orthopaedic training at Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore. Throughout his academic career, he received several awards and honours. Dr. Kurpad placed second in the essay competition. Dr. Kurpad received his fellowship in traumatology in Munich in 2002 and in hip replacement and reconstruction in Dresden in 2006. Dr. Kurpad is currently an Orthopedic consultant at Columbia Asia Hospital in Yeshwantpur, and he also works at The Fracture and Orthopedic Clinic in Bangalore. Dr. Kurpad's research works have been published in several publications, and he has delivered presentations at numerous conferences. He is interested in guiding new orthopaedic surgeons through his training programme, which is run in partnership with the Zimmer Institute. Dr. Kurpad's specialties include orthopaedic infections, back and neck discomfort, complicated fractures, and deformity treatment. Dr. Kurpad has collaborated with numerous non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to organise free medical camps as part of his social obligation.
