Dr Thiagarajan Srinivasan

Dr. Thiagarajan S, the director of the Institute of Liver Transplant & HPB Surgery, is a well-known HPB and liver transplant surgeon with 15 years of expertise. This Thanjavur Medical College and PGI Chandigarh graduate has performed more than 1,700 liver transplants personally, and he has performed more than 3,500 liver transplants overall (including paediatric liver transplants and transplants from living and deceased donors). He has also performed 1,000 advanced complex open and laparoscopic hepatopancreaticobiliary surgeries. He has extensive experience performing both laparoscopic and open surgeries on the liver, pancreas, and biliary system. At Severance Hospital (Yonsei University), Seoul, South Korea, he received training in advanced robotic and low access surgery. As a Minimal Access, Hepatobiliary, and Liver Transplant Surgeon at Medanta - The Medicity, the nation's premier liver transplant facility, he has accumulated a plethora of expertise. In addition to more than 50 seminars, including plenary lectures, he has presented more than 90 peer-reviewed scientific publications and book chapters that have been published in national and international journals. Liver transplants from living donors, paediatric liver transplants, and intricate liver resections are some of his particular research interests.
