Mr David Ellis

David spent his early training in and around Manchester after attending St. Andrews and Manchester Universities. The specialist orthopaedic training he received after that was finished in Yorkshire, including a fellowship in joint replacement surgery in Leeds. He returned home in 2000 thanks to a consultant appointment at the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI). His professional interests have grown along with Manchester's orthopaedic sector. He has been in charge of major trauma at MRI ever since major trauma centers were established nationwide to care for the most seriously injured patients.He has provided competitive medical coverage at numerous athletic events, including the 2015 Rugby World Cup and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, reflecting his interest in emergency trauma. He also continues to work with a professional football team in Manchester.
