BIOGRAPHY
The National University of Singapore and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the UK are where Dr. Lam Kai Yet earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in medicine.
Following the completion of his specialty study in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Lam joined the division in 2014. He is extensively involved in the study of sports injuries and paediatric trauma. The Singapore Orthopaedic Association Humanitarian and Outreach Subcommittee includes Dr. Lam as a committee member. He takes time away from his job to help the less fortunate in Singapore and other nations in the area.
He has completed fellowships in paediatric orthopaedics and arthroscopy at the Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College Hospital London (UCLH) in London, both under Professor Andreas Roposch. His arthroscopy and knee fellowships were completed at the Centre Albert Trillat and Hopital de la Croix-Rousse in Lyon.
The following are Dr. Lam's areas of expertise: - Sports injuries in children and adolescents; - Patella dislocations, Osteogenesis imperfecta, hip dysplasia, and limb deformity correction/lengthening.
