Conal Austin

Mr. Conal Austin is a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon who practices privately at London Bridge Hospital and is based at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital. He handles all facets of congenital surgery cases in adults and neonates. Mr. Austin specializes in intraoperative 3D echocardiography, limited access juvenile cardiac repairs, and conservative paediatric vascular repairs. PEARS, or personalized external aortic root support, is another topic that particularly interests him. Paediatric cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, heart bypass surgery, coronary artery surgery, valve replacement or repair, atrial septal defects, complete arterial revascularization, and mitral valve repair are among the therapies that Mr. Austin provides. Additionally, he specializes in the treatment of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Mr. Austin completed his cardiothoracic training in 1995 after receiving his medical degree from Belfast University in 1986.
