Dr. Ajit Babu Majji

Dr. Ajit Babu Majji received his foundational medical training at the Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam, followed by post-graduate work in ophthalmology at the RP Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi, and an FRCS from Glasgow. He received his Vitreo Retinal Surgery super-specialization training at the R P Center, AIIMS in New Delhi, and the Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, USA. Dr. Babu previously held the position of Head of the Department and served as faculty for Vitreo Retina Services at the L V Prasad Eye Institute for more than 18 years, from 1993 to 2012. He is well known for his excellent surgical abilities and tender care. He is unmatched in his ability to handle challenging cases. Age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy are two of his particular research interests. In addition to being invited to speak as a guest faculty member at more than 275 national and international conferences, he has published more than 50 manuscripts in prestigious peer-reviewed journals. He participates actively in the ARVO, AAO, Vitreous Society, Club Vit, AIOS, DOS, APSOS, and VRSI organisations.
