Dr. Ajit Kumar

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore awarded Dr. Ajit Kumar his D. M. in neurology in 1999. At the Pacific Parkinson's Research Centre at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, he later finished a two-year fellowship in movement disorders. Initially an Assistant Professor of Neurology at St. John's Medical College in Bangalore, Dr. Ajit later rose to the position of Consultant at Mumbai's Wockhardt Brain and Spine Hospital. His specialties include electrophysiology, stroke, and Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders. The Silver Jubilee Award for Best Candidate in D.M. Neurology, the Melvin Yahr Fellowship, and The General Civil Aviation Authority - Specialist Aeromedical Examiner licence by the UAE Health Authority are among Dr. Ajit's honours. Dr. Ajit has 30 publications, of which 16 are peer-reviewed, indexed, international publications. He is a lifetime member of the Neurological Society of India and the Indian Academy of Neurology.
