Dr. Amarender Singh Puri

Dr. Amarender Singh Puri is the Vice Chairman of Medanta Gurugram's Institute of Digestive & Hepatobiliary Sciences. Dr. Puri graduated from Christian Medical College in Ludhiana with an MBBS and an MD (Internal Medicine). After that, he served as a Lecturer in Medicine at CMC, Ludhiana (Panjab University) for two years before joining DM (Gastroenterology). Dr. Puri joined GB Pant Hospital in Delhi as an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology in 1992 after receiving his DM (Gastroenterology) from SGPGI, Lucknow, and rose through the ranks to Professor & Head of Medical Gastroenterology Department, where he worked for more than two decades before joining Medanta. Dr. Puri has received various awards, including the Times Healthcare Award in 2017 and the Delhi Government State Award for Meritorious Service in 2014. He has a number of articles, chapters, and publications in national and international papers and journals.
