Dr Anil Bhatia

One of the few brachial plexus surgeons in India, Dr. Anil Bhatia has performed surgery on more than 756 distinct patients from all across the country with excellent outcomes. The Brachial Plexus Surgery Group of India is led by Dr. Bhatia. In the International NARAKAS Club of Brachial Plexus Surgeons, he is the sole Indian participant. Dr. Anil Bhatia received his training in medicine from LTM Medical College in Sion, Mumbai (MBBS from Bombay University in October 1985). His post-graduate training in orthopaedics was undertaken at LTM General Hospital in Sion, Mumbai (MS from Bombay University in January 1990). At LTM General Hospital in Sion, residents received nine months of plastic surgery training under Dr. R. L. Thatte. Dr. Bhatia took involved in evaluations prior to surgery, during surgery, and at several points following the procedure. This gave a thorough understanding of the clinical patterns of brachial plexus injuries, the reasons for surgery, the methods used during surgery, the time it took for results to show, and the level of function that was recovered in various circumstances. They also mentioned the requirement for auxiliary procedures to increase the usefulness of the recovered function.
