BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Arun L Naik received his medical training at the famed All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, where he worked for seven years before returning to his hometown of Bangalore. He has been in practise in the city for the past 17 years. Before joining Apollo Hospitals in 2013, he created and launched Neurosurgery departments at many well-known city hospitals. He is credited with initiating Neuronavigation operations for brain and spine illnesses in Bangalore for the first time in the country in 2001. He is particularly interested in endoscopic brain and spine surgery, difficult spine surgery, stereotactic surgery, and paediatric neurosurgery. To his credit, he has conducted some of the most challenging neurovascular procedures, such as brain aneurysm cutting and Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs). In the city, he began spinal navigation guided fusion surgeries for challenging spinal patients. He has extensive expertise working on previously unsuccessful spinal issues. Dr. Naik performs Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgeries on a regular basis for a variety of movement problems. During his long career, he has conducted over 10,000 brain, spine, and nerve procedures. He is a DNB instructor who has taught several DNB pupils. He is quite engaged in numerous local, national, and worldwide neurosurgical associations, and he attends professional conferences on a regular basis to stay up with the ever-expanding neurosciences. He has successfully organised several neurosurgical conferences and gatherings for the benefit of peers and practitioners. Dr. Naik has several publications and papers published in national and international magazines.
