Dr. (Prof.) Arvind Kumar is a thoracic (chest) surgeon who treats surgical illnesses of the lungs, pleura mediastinum, trachea (windpipe), oesophagus (food pipe), chest wall, and diaphragm, as well as chest trauma. He is the director of the country's largest and most comprehensive Chest (Thoracic) Surgery, Chest Oncosurgery, and Robotic Chest Surgery programme, which includes Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS) and state-of-the-art Robotic Chest Surgery. Dr. Arvind Kumar is recognised with executing the majority of India's VATS and Robotic Chest Surgeries for the first time at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, where he served for 36 years. He has one of the most extensive robotic thymectomy experiences in Asia for Myasthenia Gravis and Thymoma.
