Dr. Ashok Hande

For the past 25 years, Dr. Hande has been a practising neurosurgeon. He is presently employed with Fortis Hospital as a senior consultant (Vashi & Mulund). He works at the well-established stroke unit at Fortis Hospital in Vashi. He has been recognised for developing neurosurgery in Navi Mumbai due to his extensive knowledge and competence in the area. Following his 1983 graduation from Seth G. S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital in Mumbai, he started his work. He then went on to get his M.S. in general surgery and M.Ch. in neurosurgery from Bombay University in 1990. He has participated in substantial research projects and won many fellowships overseas. Along with more than 26 years of expertise instructing undergraduate and graduate students, he has a significant list of publications to his name.
