Dr Benedict Peng Chan Wearn

In 1996, Dr. Benedict Peng earned an honours degree from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Later, he earned his FRCS in orthopaedics from Edinburgh and his Master of Medicine in orthopaedic surgery from Singapore. He then went on to the reputed Hospital for Special Surgery and Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York to finish his Fellowship training in spine surgery. At Singapore General Hospital, which performs the majority of spine operations in Singapore, Dr. Peng obtained expertise as a consultant spine surgeon. His specialty in spine surgery covers degenerative conditions, deformity, trauma, tumours, and infections. A particular area of focus for Dr. Peng is minimally invasive spine surgery. Patients who have minimally invasive surgery experience a shorter hospital stay and a quicker recovery with smaller scars. Dr. Peng is acknowledged internationally for his knowledge in this area.
