Dr. Chezhian Subash

Dr. Subash has considerable expertise in general haematology, laboratory haematology, haematopathology, and transfusion medicine. He received his training in India and the UK. He specialises in treating myelomas, lymphomas, alternate donor transplants, and mismatched transplants, although his main areas of interest include haemato-oncology and bone marrow transplant. Dr. Subash played a key role in the establishment of bone marrow transplant and haemato-oncology/haematology centres, and she was successful in obtaining accreditation from prestigious organisations like the Joint Accreditation Committee of ISCT for both of these fields (International Society for Cellular Therapy and EBMT European Bone Marrow Transplant). He also takes part in NEQAS and other outside quality evaluation programmes. In addition to teaching undergraduate students, Dr. Subash served as an honorary senior clinical lecturer at Hull York Medical School. During two specialist registrars' rotations for specialty training, he served as their clinical mentor and supervisor. Dr. Chezian Subash has published a number of articles and given talks, and his work has earned him awards. The Dr. K. C. Paul Prize for Proficiency in Clinical Medicine and the Maharaja of Cochin Prize for Proficiency in Physiology are of particular significance.
