Dr. Deshpande V Rajakumar is the Director of Neurosurgery at Fortis Hospital in Bangalore. Dr. D V Rajakumar is one of the few surgeons who do Endoscopic Brain Tumour Removals due to his interest in brain tumours and experience in limited access procedures of the brain and spine. He is well-known for his endoscopic methods to complicated procedures, and he has presented papers on relevant topics at international conferences. He has been a member of several organisations, including the Neurological Society of India, the Bangalore Neurological Society, the Skull Base Society of India, the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons in Japan, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons in the United States. He has presented and published papers on Endoscopic Approach to the Skull Base and numerous approaches to the brain and spine at the International Congress on Skull Base in San Diego. Subject Matter Expertise: He has extensive expertise as a Neurosurgeon, specialising in Minimal Access Brain and Spine Surgery. He also has a long history of teaching at prestigious institutions. Brain Tumours (including Skull Base Tumours), Cerebrovascular Diseases, and Spine have been his areas of focus. He is now working on innovative endoscopic techniques to treating brain and spine diseases. Dr. D V Rajakumar, Bangalore's first neurosurgeon to conduct Pedicle Screw Fixation for Spine Injuries, contributed to the development of the Harper Hospital's Cadaver Laboratory, doing several dissections of the human skull and Brain.
