Dr. Girish Juneja

Bariatric or weight loss surgeon Dr. Girish Juneja practises at Cocoona in Dubai. He is a highly skilled general and laparoscopic surgeon who specialises in metabolic surgery for weight loss. He received his fundamental training in laparoscopy from Ninewells Medical College in Dundee, Scotland, and the United Kingdom before earning a diploma in minimal access surgery from Strasbourg, France. In Emmen, Netherlands, at the ACE Bariatric Surgical Center, Dr. Girish is a Fellow. He regularly performs procedures like sleeve gastrectomy, lapband, gastric bypass, and gastric balloon, in addition to other laparoscopic and general surgeries, such as surgery for hernias, gallstone disease, varicocele, thyroid, reflux disease, etc. He is one of the few experts in the field of bariatric surgery in Dubai (weight loss surgery). Since 1990, he has held the position of Head of Surgery and Bariatric Surgery at a number of reputable hospitals in the United Arab Emirates. He has also taken an active role in the academic side of surgery by giving lectures and serving as the chair of numerous national and international conferences.
