BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Hemant Sharma is a recognised Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has over 23 years of expertise in the area of orthopaedic surgery (10 years in India and 12 years in England). Dr. Sharma graduated from PGIMS Rohtak in 1994 and received his advanced orthopaedic and trauma training in India and England, as well as specialised training through a series of fellowships in the United Kingdom. Regular attendance as a delegate and faculty member at national and international events maintains this education. He specialises in adult reconstructive orthopaedics, joint replacements, tumours, and musculoskeletal disorders in those who have recovered from polio or cerebral palsy.In younger patients with arthritis, he does a lot of redo-trauma cases and sports injuries including single or multiple ligament reconstructions and joint preserving surgeries. He also treats youngsters with hip dysplasia, which occurs when the hip does not fit properly into the socket, and slipping capital femoral epiphysis, or SCFE, which occurs when the growth plate slides off the thighbone's end. He also has a lot of expertise with sickle cell disease individuals who have joint injury.
