BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Jagath lal Gangadharan has been working at Rajagiri Hospital from April 2015. He received his training in brain and spine surgery at the reputed NIMHANS in Bangalore, India. He then went on to receive additional training in minimally invasive neurosurgery and skull base surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, USA; head injury at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA; brain tumour surgery at the University of Regensburg in Munich, Germany; and endovascular neurosurgery at G.B.Pant Hospital in New Delhi. During his seven-year employment as Professor and Associate professor at NIMHANS, Bangalore, a national-level institute, he autonomously operated on over 2000 complicated neurosurgical cases involving paediatric and adult brain and spine illnesses. He is also a specialist in Gamma knife radiosurgery, which is only conducted in a few chosen centres throughout the world. He has conducted research in the areas of Traumatic Brain Injury, Neurooncology, Spine Injury, Stroke, and Advanced Neuroimaging. He has numerous international publications and talks in the United States, Japan, Europe, and Malaysia. He has attended around 21 skill training workshops and has presented papers at approximately 20 conferences in India and overseas. In his brief time at Rajagiri Hospital, he has conducted a wide spectrum of complex head and spine surgery.
