BIOGRAPHY
At Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, the division of plastic surgery is led by Dr. Jeffrey Fialkov. He is an Associate Professor in the University of Toronto's Division of Plastic Surgery and specialises in Craniomaxillofacial surgery. He earned both his medical degree from the University of Toronto in 1989 and his certification in plastic and reconstructive surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 1998. Dr. Fialkov received additional fellowship training with Dr. Ian Jackson at the Institute for Craniofacial and Reconstructive Surgery, Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, after completing fellowship training in craniomaxillofacial and facial cosmetic surgery at Monash University and with Dr. Bryan Mendelsohn.
Dr. Fialkov has worked actively in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre since he was recruited to the University of Toronto Department of Surgery Faculty in 1999. The biggest integrated programme in Canada for musculoskeletal research, education, and care, the Holland Bone and Joint Research Program, includes Dr. Fialkov as an Associate Scientist.
