Dr. Kesavan A R is a highly trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 22 years of expertise in joint replacement and difficult hip and pelvic operations. He is now employed at Gleneagles Global Health City as a Senior Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon. His particular experience in Complex Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery, fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, and all severe fractures is recognised by colleagues and patients. He is also particularly interested in hip joint development and dysplasia, having treated numerous youngsters with hip problems. He received his training in hip and knee replacement surgery in Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom (including Computer aided Knee Replacement Surgery). Trauma surgical training was completed in Germany, and specialist training in Pelvis and Acetabular fractures was completed in France and Switzerland. He has been a part of and contributed to several important orthopaedic research articles. He has presented in several forums on Revision Joint Replacement and Acetabular Fractures and is recognised as an authority in these issues. He has attended a number of conferences and gatherings, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Asia-Pacific Arthroplasty Society, the Emile Letournel Course, and the Intelligent Hip Surgery Course. He also belongs to the Tamilnadu Orthopaedic Association, the Indian Orthopaedic Association, the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society, and the Association of PelviAcetabular Surgeons.
