Dr. Poonpissamai Suwajo

Thai doctor Poonpissamai Suwajo was born in Bangkok. She graduated from Chulalongkorn University with a medical degree and underwent plastic and reconstructive surgery residency training there. She currently works as a staff member and teaches at Chulalongkorn University's King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. Dr. Preecha Tiewtranont, a pioneer in sex reassignment surgery in Thailand, serves as her mentor. With ten years of plastic and reconstructive surgical experience, Dr. Suwajo has a special interest in transgender operations. She is familiar with sex reassignment procedures, particularly those involving male to female patients, such as colonic and peritoneal vaginoplasty and penile skin inversion with or without scrotal skin grafting. She belongs to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Society of Aesthetic Surgeons of Thailand, the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand, and the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand. She currently serves as a member of the educational committee for the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand.
