Dr. (Prof) D. S. Gambhir

He joined the Department of Cardiology, G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi, as an Asst. Professor in 1985 after receiving his doctoral degree (DM), and climbed to the post of Professor at the early age of 44. Presented lectures as a Guest Speaker at several international meetings, including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), TCT (USA), Euro-PCR (Paris), Singapore Live (Singapore), Angioplasty Summit (Korea), CCT and TOPIC (Japan), Vascular Leader Summits (Bangkok, Shanghai, and Malaysia), and the Pan African Meeting (Bangkok, Shanghai, and Malaysia) (Tunisia). In addition to editing 'Cardiology Update' under the aegis of the Cardiological Society of India in 2002, he has published 115 original papers in national and international journals, contributed chapters to various text books, and edited 'Cardiology Update' under the aegis of the Cardiological Society of India. He has led multiple multicentric national and international pharmacological and technology studies as the Principal Investigator.
