Dr. Ramesh S Bilimagga

Dr. Ramesh S Bilimagga earned his MBBS and Post-Graduate in Radiation Oncology from a reputable Bangalore college. He also possesses a Radio-Diagnostic Diploma from the same university. In addition, he holds a certificate in Legal and Medical Ethics from a prominent law school in Bengaluru. Dr. Bilimagga has over 40 years of expertise in radiation oncology. His primary area of expertise is radiation oncology, and he has extensive experience with highly conformal radiation techniques such as IGRT and IMRT. He is a Cyber Knife trained Specialist with certification. He is highly interested in doing Brachytherapy on the Head & Neck, Breast, and Cervix. He is also credited with inventing hyperthermia and external radiation. He has 43 articles published in national and international journals. He was on the editorial boards of two journals: the Indian Journal of Cancer Research and the Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy. He has written chapters for Breast and Lung Manograms. He is an International College of Surgeons fellow. In addition, he is a founding fellow of the Indian College of Radiation Oncology. He is a past president of AROI (Association of Radiation of India), the Indian Brachytherapy Society (IBS), and the Federation of Asian Radiation Oncology's (FARO) (FARO). The IMA, Karnataka State Branch presented him with the Dr. B. C Roy award. He has delivered several speeches at various National Professional Organizations.
