Dr Sandeep Attawar

At the KIMS Institute for Heart & Lung Transplantation, Dr. Sandeep Attawar serves as Chair and Director of Thoracic Organ Transplants and Assist Devices. He was born and raised in Ahmedabad, where he also completed his medical training and general surgery specialisation at the Sheth KM school of PG medicine. At the Sri ChitraThirunalInstitute in Trivandrum, he furthered his training in cardiac surgery. M.S., Mch. Dr. Sandeep Attawar He is a leading cardiothoracic surgeon in India and is well known for his skill in carrying out difficult heart operations on patients of all ages, from newborns to elderly people. He formerly served as the unit leader for cardiac surgery and heart and lung transplantation at Global Hospitals in Chennai, and he played a key role in the establishment of three significant heart facilities both domestically and abroad. He sincerely believes in offering patients from all backgrounds high-quality cardiac surgery care. Along with successfully completing numerous heart and lung transplants, he also has a great interest in the subject of cardiac failure and mechanical circulatory support, including the implantation of total artificial hearts (TAH) and ventricular assist devices.
