Dr. Santosh G Honavar

Dr. Santosh G. Honavar received his MBBS from the Bangalore Medical College (best graduate of the Bangalore University; seven gold medals); post-graduate training in ophthalmology; senior residency in ophthalmic plastic surgery at the R P Center for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi; fellowship in ocular oncology at the Wills Eye Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, USA; and fellowship in ophthalmic oncology. His prior experience includes serving as a Senior Resident at AIIMS (1992–1995), faculty and Head of the Department (1995–2013), and Associate Director at the LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the Ohio State University Department of Ophthalmology and the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Santosh G. Honavar specialises in retinoblastoma, eye plastic surgery, and eye prosthetics. He also treats tumours of the ocular surface, eyelid, eye, and orbit.
