Consultant urological surgeon Mr. Talal Jabbar, MBChB MRCS MPhil FRCS (Urol), is employed at Bristol Urological Institute, Southmead Hospital. Previously employed at Newport's Royal Gwent Hospital. For research on laser capture microdissection in transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy in 2012 and publications in urology, I received an MPhil from Newcastle University. In addition to colposuspension, autologous fascial sling, TVT, male sling, artificial urinary sphincter implantation, urinary fistula and diverticula surgery, bladder augmentation, bladder replacement, and both continent and incontinent urinary diversion, his practise specialises in treating bladder dysfunction, male and female incontinence. managing pain syndromes, voiding dysfunction, and overactive bladder in particular. This covers prescription medication, Botox, and sacral neuromodulation. He was the first person to use sacral neuromodulation in Wales to treat pain syndromes, voiding dysfunction, and overactive bladder. He served as the clinical lead for sacral neuromodulation at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and Wales. member of the European Association of Urology, International Continence Society, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, British Medical Association, and the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS).
