Dr. Teertha Karnakar

With her father in their 35-year-old orthodontic practise in India, Dr. Teertha Karnakar developed a passion for the field at a young age. She received her undergraduate degree from Rajiv Gandhi University in 2005, and in 2010 she graduated with her master's in orthodontics from the Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital. At the Kyungpook National University in Korea, Dr. Teertha pursued advanced education and finished specialised training in lingual orthodontics in 2010. She has attended numerous dental and orthodontic conferences both domestically and abroad. She presented her study at the 10th Arab Orthodontic Conference (UAE), which was one of her most popular lectures. The impacted canine: A Curious Case. She participates actively in the British Lingual Orthodontic Association, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Indian Orthodontic Society. Dr. Teertha specialises in treating adults with surgical and invisible orthodontics as well as children with preventive and interceptive orthodontics. She specialises in fixed orthodontic procedures using cutting-edge self-ligating systems like the Damon system and Smart clip (3M). She is an accredited Six Month Smiles® provider as well as a certified provider of Invisalign®, Inman Aligner, and ClearPath Aligner.
