Dr. Tom Morgan

The Chief of Urologic Oncology at Michigan Medicine is the urological surgeon Todd M. Morgan, M.D. Dr. Morgan received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Harvard University. Dr. Morgan is a translational surgeon-scientist as well as a clinician and surgeon. He is the primary investigator of two sizable randomised controlled trials testing tissue-based biomarkers in men with localised prostate cancer. His study focuses on developing blood-based assays that can direct precision-based treatments for prostate cancer in real time.The Prostate Cancer Foundation, Society for Urological Oncology, National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), and Society for Basic Urology Research have all given Dr. Morgan Young Investigator Awards. Above all, Dr. Morgan is committed to providing care for patients with genitourinary malignancies. His surgical experience spans a broad range of open, laparoscopic, and cutting-edge robotic surgical methods, and his urologic oncology practise involves care for patients with prostate, bladder, kidney, and penile cancers. He has a wealth of knowledge in cancer genetics, the use of molecular biomarkers, and their interpretation, all of which might assist some patients make more informed treatment decisions.
