Vanita Pathak Ray, M.D. postgraduate ophthalmic surgery experience spanning over 18 years, across North America, Europe, and India. Over 14 years as a consultant ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist, first in Cardiff, UK, then at the L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India. Since January 2017, He has served as Director of Glaucoma and Senior Glaucoma and Cataract Specialist at the Centre for Sight in Hyderabad, India. Since January 2018, He has served as Director of Neoretina Eyecare Institute in Hyderabad. He is the first glaucoma specialist in India to treat angle closure disease with minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (phaco-endocycloplasty). He is the first glaucoma specialist in India to use the Kahook Dual Blade to perform trabeculotomy on adults. He is also the first to perform the Aurolab Aqueous Drainage Implant (AADI) while at LVPEI. He is one of a handful Glaucoma Specialist in Coiuntry to perform this surgery.
