Dr. Vijay Kohli

Dr. Kohli is a superb cardiovascular surgeon with extensive clinical experience and expertise in a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery procedures. Professor Randas Batista in Brazil and Professor Hertzer at the Berlin Heart Institute in Germany have both worked in the topic of heart failure. At Vienna General Hospital in Austria, he collaborated with Professor George Wieselthaler on the implantation of various VADs (Ventricular Assist Devices), heart transplantation, and the care of heart failure patients. He's also collaborated with Professor Vincent Dor on the outcome of Dor's ventricular aneurysm repair treatment and with Prof Antonio Calafiore Chieti, Italy, on the principle of septal exclusion technique and mitral valve repair in ventricular architecture remodelling. In 2001, Dr Kohli was the first surgeon at Jammu Medical College to undertake coronary artery bypass surgery. In Kathmandu, Nepal, in 2002, he was the first surgeon to conduct coronary artery bypass surgery on a beating heart.
