Dr. Vijay Vohra

Following his qualification, Dr. Vijay Vohra has more than 35 years of expertise in anesthesiology. He led the team that established Liver Transplant Anaesthesia and Critical Care at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Medanta-The Medicity in India. He also has 5 years of experience as the Vice-Chairperson of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where he was in charge of policies and a huge department of 40 anaesthetists. In the previous ten years, he has trained visiting / colleague anaesthetists and intensivists from 26 centres in India and overseas on Transplant Anaesthesia. He has also performed more than 1500 liver transplants. He was the first in India to create and implement a bloodless liver transplant hemodynamic and coagulation monitoring strategy.He was the head of the anaesthetic team that took part in all of India's initial liver transplants. He has contributed to the journals Journal of Clinical Anaesthesia, Journal of Anaesthesiology and Clinical Pharmacology, and Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology as a reviewer.
