Heidar Arjomand

The American Hospital Dubai's Consultant Interventional, Endovascular, and Structural Cardiologist is Dr. Heidar Arjomand. In April 2021, he began working at the American Hospital. He has 15 years of experience performing advanced cardiovascular interventions in the USA as an experienced interventional cardiologist. He currently serves as American Hospital's Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Director of Cardiovascular Quality. He co-chairs the American Hospital Academic Institute as well (AHAI). Dr. Heidar is board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and endovascular medicine by the American Board of Medicine. In the fields of cardiovascular disease, interventional/structural cardiology, carotid stenting, percutaneous coronary interventions, and transcatheter valve interventions, he has published extensively. He has written numerous chapters for important textbooks on cardiovascular disease. Treatment of a variety of cardiovascular diseases, advanced coronary interventions/stenting, including use of mechanical circulatory devices in the heart, transcatheter valve interventions, such as transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVR), percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects (ASD), percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO), and left atrial appendage closure (LA) are among Dr. Heidar's special.
