BIOGRAPHY
For more than 20 years, Michael D. Cusimano, MD, MHPE, FRCSC, PhD, FACS, has been one of the top craniobase neurosurgeons in North America. He was the first to describe the totally endoscopic bi-nasal approach to the cranial base and was recognised as Canada's top surgical educator. He is well-known for his teaching style and clinical abilities as the first surgeon in the world to be a practising surgeon with a PhD in education. Several of the current trends in biology, education, prevention, and quality of life were not yet in existence when he conducted his vast, inventive, and ground-breaking study.
