Prof. Humaid Obaid bin Harmal Al Shamsi

Burjeel Medical City - VPS healthcare's Medical Oncology Service was founded by Prof. Humaid Al-Shamsi, who also serves as its director. He is a well-known physician with extensive knowledge in oncology. Additionally, he continues to serve as the President of the Emirates Oncology Society and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Oncology at the University of Sharjah College of Medicine. To offer the best cancer treatment for the UAE and the region, he is a pioneer in the field of UAE oncology. His practise focuses on treating all solid tumours, including complicated cancer situations such as gynaecological, thyroid, breast, colon, stomach, hepatobiliary, lung, and sarcoma malignancies. His dedication to the public extends beyond just our healthcare system. Prof. Humaid is a fervent supporter of early identification, screening, and public education regarding cancer. Through his participation in several TV interviews, social media awareness campaigns, and newspaper interviews, he has shared his expertise of oncology with the general public. He fervently supports early detection, better cancer awareness, and a reduction in the stigma associated with the disease.
