Prof Semih Ayan

In 1991, Dr. Ayan received his medical degree, and in 1997, he finished his urology residency in Turkey. In 1999 and 2000, he worked as a paediatric urology postdoctoral fellow at the Children's Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He was appointed as a professor of urology in 2009 after receiving the degree of associate professor in 2003. In 2014 and 2015, he participated in the University of Chicago's Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology programme as a Clinical Fellow. He is still a professor of urology in the Department of Urology at Istanbul's Aydin University Hospital. His major areas of interest include robotic urology, paediatric urology, and urologic oncology. He holds both a European Board of Urology Certificate and a United States medical licence.
