Professor Vinidh Paleri

The Head & Neck Unit at The Royal Marsden is home to Professor Paleri, who practices in both the private and public sectors and has the most experience doing transoral robotic surgery in the UK. He is the first surgeon in the UK to undertake robotic free flap reconstructions and has developed a new robotic approach to remove radiorecurrent and radioresidual tumors. Over 200 papers have been published by him, and he has edited many textbooks in the field. He is the primary or joint recipient of £7 million in grant funding. Currently, Professor Paleri holds the positions of president of the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists, director of the International Centre for Recurrent Head and Neck Cancer, which was supported by The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, and trustee for the Oracle Cancer Trust, among other national organizations. At the Institute for Cancer Research, he holds the position of Professor of Head and Neck Surgery.
