BIOGRAPHY
Atta Ghassan, M.D. Atta Al Khaznaji completed his MBChB and medical training at Al Nahrain University in Iraq in 1994. In 2002, the Iraqi Commission for Medical Specialization conferred the Iraqi Board in Neurology (FICMS) upon him. Dr. Atta travelled to the UK in 2005, where he received training in neurological rehabilitation and neurosciences at Queen's Medical Center, Nottingham University Hospital, and Nottingham City Hospital. He began his training in neurosciences at Charing Cross Hospital. In order to continue his neurology practise in renowned private and public healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Al Ain, he relocated to the UAE in 2006. Over the course of his career, he rose to the positions of lecturer and co-examiner for undergraduate medical students.
Since 2013, Dr. Atta is working at Burjeel Hospital. Dr. Atta has taken part in conferences in the United Arab Emirates, the UK, Cyprus, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, and Iraq, among other countries. He currently belongs to the Iraq Medical Association, Emirates Medical Association, and Emirates Neurology Society. His experience includes extrapyramidal disorders such as tremors, Parkinson's disease, and parkinsonism, gait disturbance and imbalance, neck and back pain, peripheral neuropathy, and myopathy, as well as migraine and headache disorders, vertigo, facial pain, and weakness. It also includes demyelinating disorders of the nervous system like multiple sclerosis. in addition to the treatment and rehabilitation of neurological diseases and brain injuries.
