Dr. Babar Bashir CHAUDHRI

Dr. Chaudhri has been in clinical practise since 1992 and attended the University of Cambridge to study medicine. He received thorough training in thoracic and cardiac surgery in London and Scotland. He then underwent fellowships at the Harefield and Freeman Hospitals in the UK and the MHH, Hannover, Germany, where he super-specialized in aortic, mitral, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, and lung transplantation. More than 6,000 adult cardiac surgical procedures, including 900 major thoracic operations, have been carried out by him. He specialises in complex valvular, redo, and emergency cardiac surgery as well as off pump/beating heart coronary surgery, aortic root/arch surgery, mitral valve repair, and these procedures. He has training in surgical staging and resections as well as thoracic surgical oncology.He is an expert in mechanical circulatory assist devices, surgery for heart failure, and heart and lung transplantation (50 heart and 50 lung implants). Additionally, he performs complex and minimally invasive cardiac surgery, particularly re-operative valvular surgery and atrial fibrillation surgery. His professional objective is to deliver cutting-edge cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care of the highest calibre. Aortic valve and root disease, pathology of the ascending aorta and arch, heart failure, and lung failure are areas in which he is particularly interested in treating patients surgically.
