• One hip appears to be higher than the other.

Disease Diagnosis:

Your child's doctor will do a physical exam and gather a comprehensive medical history to identify congenital scoliosis. Disease Treatment:

A surgical approach is the most appropriate therapy for most cases of congenital scoliosis. The "excess" vertebrae may be removed, or a sort of spinal fusion may be performed, in which two or more vertebrae are fused together with bone bridges composed of grafts.
