Dr Merina Ahmed

Consultant clinical oncologist Dr. Merina Ahmed specializes in the treatment of skin, lung, and lymphoma malignancies. At The Royal Marsden, she maintains both a private and an NHS practice. She graduated from Imperial College London's Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, and she has worked at The Royal Marsden since 2003. Between 2007 and 2009, she conducted head and neck cancer research at The Royal Marsden and The Institute of Cancer Research. Her doctor concentrated on using IMRT and better imaging methods to enhance treatment planning. She was also in charge of the thyroid unit's innovative targeted therapy development. After receiving her MD in 2010, she was hired as a consultant clinical oncologist at The Royal Marsden and St. George's Hospital. She currently treats patients with both early-stage and advanced-stage lung cancer, as well as non-melanoma skin tumors and haematological malignancies (lymphoma, myeloma, and leukemia) using radiation. She has mastered the use of CyberKnife and stereotactic radiation therapy for treating lung cancer, lung metastases, and other oligometastatic disease locations.
