Fat Transfer to the Face

A portion of your body with available fatty tissue is subjected to liposuction during a surgical rejuvenation technique called facial fat grafting. After processing, the extracted fat is inserted into tiny needles to be applied to the parts of the face that need volume replacement. The cheeks, paranasal (around the nostrils), nasolabial folds, forehead, lips, undereye bags, and eye hollows are common places where volume is lost as a result of aging.

Permanent filler comes in the form of facial fat grafting. Nonetheless, about 60% of the injected fat is retained. Platelet rich plasma, or PRP, which is extracted and processed from your blood, is injected simultaneously and increases fat survival. However, there will be additional expenses.

Acne scars and other face scars have been corrected by autologous fat transfer. Patients with aesthetic problems, such as those who seek lip augmentation, and disease processes like hemifacial atrophy can both benefit from enhancement of facial volume.

Facial Scar / Acne Scar

A wound may eventually become a scar as it heals. There are many different types of facial scars that can result from burns, acne, accidents, or surgery. Your face is constantly in contact with the outside world, therefore scars there could take longer to heal. Your face is exposed to the elements for the most of the day, unlike other parts of your body where you might be able to conceal or shield a wound. Face wounds might not be completely protected during their healing process, and it might be challenging to prevent medicines (such as creams and ointments) from rubbing off.

Problem Causes:

There are many different types of facial scars that can result from burns, acne, accidents, or surgery. Your face is constantly in contact with the outside world, therefore scars there could take longer to heal.

Problem Diagnosis:

A dermatologist's eye examination is sufficient to make a diagnosis. How extensive the scarring from your acne is may also be determined by your dermatologist. Four levels of acne scarring are included in one measuring system: minimal, mild, moderate, and severe. Macular, or grade one, is characterized by a red, flat scar. A scar classified as grade two, mild, is one that is readily concealed by makeup or facial hair. The mild third grade is "obvious at a social distance." It is more difficult to conceal with makeup or facial hair.

Problem Treatment:

1. One of the best and most widely used techniques for healing face scars is dermabrasion. Dermabrasion is done by a dermatologist, as opposed to microdermabrasion kits that you may purchase at the pharmacy.

2. Chemical peels: Chemical peels are a single-layer skin treatment that include mild acids. Consequently, the epidermis—the top layer of skin—exfoliates and sheds, revealing a fresh layer of skin.

3. Laser resurfacing: Laser resurfacing aims to remove the outermost layer of skin, just like chemical peels and dermabrasions do. High-powered laser beams are used in laser resurfacing to remove skin, as opposed to acids and instruments.

4. Examining plastic surgery: This is an additional course of treatment. Surgery is a more invasive operation than the previously mentioned ones, including the removal or alteration of scar tissue with a scalpel. Your doctor may choose to remove the scar entirely, just the epidermis, or even reposition it to make it less noticeable, depending on your preferences and the extent of the scar.

5. Fat Transfer: Facial Transplantation Facial fat grafting is a permanent filler option. However, roughly 60% of the fat that was injected stays in place. PRP, or platelet rich plasma, is processed and collected from your blood and injected at the same time to boost fat survival. There will be other costs, though.

Autologous fat transfer has been used to treat scars from acne and other facial injuries. Enhancement of facial volume can help patients with disease processes such as hemifacial atrophy as well as those with aesthetic issues like lip augmentation.
