Package Description
Procedure Description:
Kamra Inlay Surgery
An eye operation called KAMRA inlay surgery modifies and refocuses light that enters the eye. In the stromal bed, a thin layer of the cornea, the surgeon inserts a smaller-than-contact lens inlay. Once installed, you won't be able to feel or see the inlay.
Disease Overview:
Presbyopia
Middle-aged and older persons with presbyopia, a refractive defect, have trouble seeing up close. It occurs when light is incorrectly focused on the retina, a layer of tissue at the back of the eye that is sensitive to light, by the lens, an internal component of the eye that aids in focusing.
Disease Sign and Symptoms:
Presbyopia symptoms include:
1. Having difficulty focusing up close.
2. The inability to concentrate on reading things if they are held farther away.
3. Eye strain, or soreness or fatigue in the eyes
4. Headache.
Disease Causes:
Aging-related hardening of the eye's lens is the cause of presbyopia. Your lens can no longer change shape to focus on close-up photos as it gets less flexible.
Disease Diagnosis:
A general eye exam can be used to diagnose presbyopia.
1. A visual acuity test is used to measure distance vision.
2. To ascertain the appropriate prescription for glasses, perform a refraction test.
3. Slit-lamp examination to evaluate the eye's anatomical features.
Disease treatment:
Making up for your eyes' incapacity to focus on close objects is the aim of treatment. Refractive surgery, contact lenses, corrective eyeglasses, or lens implants are among the available treatment options for presbyopia.
