Dr Nick Bunce - Cardiologist in London, United Kingdom | Book Video Consult |

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Bunce completed his studies at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London in 1991. Before starting as a research registrar in cardiovascular magnetic resonance at the Royal Brompton Hospital in 1998, he underwent training as a cardiology registrar in South West London. 2004 saw the appointment of Dr. Bunce to the position of Consultant in Cardiology for Cardiac Magnetic Resonance at St. George's Hospital. He was in charge of setting up a coronary care unit with six beds that received patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), severe cardiac arrhythmias, or left ventricular failure needing inotropic support. Additionally, he was in charge of the twelve inpatient beds in the cardiothoracic unit, which served as both an admission ward for patients coming straight from Accident and Emergency as well as a ""step-down unit"" for patients in CCU. As part of a collaboration with St. Anthony's Hospital, Dr. Bunce started scanning patients with cardiovascular illnesses in October 2004. CMR was made possible at St. George's Hospital through collaboration with the Neuroscience division, first with a Philips 1.5T scanner and eventually a 3.0 T scanner. He offers a high-quality clinical service and has taken part in several NIH-funded research trials while working with three other cardiology consultants.
