Dr. Shivakumar S Kupanur

Dr. Shivakumar is a Consultant Neurosurgeon who now oversees the Neurosurgery Department at Sparsh Super Specialty Hospital in Bangalore. He earned his bachelor's degree from Mysore University and his DNB in Neurosurgery from the Manipal Institute for Neurological Disorders (MIND) in Bangalore. Dr. Shivakumar has also completed advanced training in vascular surgery and complicated spine surgery. He has over ten years of neurosurgery expertise and has conducted over 3000 difficult neurosurgeries and spinal procedures. His research focuses on stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. Dr. Shivakumar has also done awake craniotomy procedures for eloquent lesions, which is one of the most difficult surgeries in his field of expertise. Dr. Shivakumar has a significant academic and scientific interest in the field of neurosurgery, and he has presented and published several articles at various conferences, CMEs, and journals.
