Dr. Ed Ashtar

One of the top consultants in medical oncology and clinical haematology in the United States is Dr. Ed Ashtar. He has more than 20 years of experience and is triple American Board Certified. He completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky Medical Center before earning his Diploma of Human Medicine with honours from Aleppo University's Faculty of Medicine (UKMC). At Whitesburg Mountain Comprehensive Health Corporation, he received awards for Outstanding Resident Performance of the Year 1997 and Best Physician of the Year 1999–2000. (MCHC). He eventually relocated to Bethesda, Maryland's National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) where he finished his fellowship and conducted clinical research in hematology/oncology. During his fellowship, he received numerous honours, including the ASCO Foundation Merit Award in 2007. He also rose to the position of Chief of Fellows. He participated in a number of US research studies and served as a co-investigator on several cancer treatment protocols. He contributed significantly to a number of ASCO presentations and publications at NIH/NCI. In 2008, Dr. Ed Ashtar finally transitioned to a private practise. He was the leader of two significant organisations: the Cancer Professionals of Greater Washington in Northern Virginia/Maryland and the Hematology and Oncology Professional Association in Pennsylvania. In 2017, he eventually relocated to Dubai where he has since worked in a number of oncology clinics and hospitals, practising and offering cutting-edge care.
