Dr Giovanni Di Salvo

In 1996, Dr. Giovanni Di Salvo earned his medical degree in Italy. He later went on to specialize in cardiology and get his certificate of excellence in medical emergencies. At the Katholieke University of Leuven in Belgium, he earned a master's degree in medical imaging in 2002 and a PhD in cardio-respiratory physiopathology and related biotechnologies in 2004. Prior to joining the Trust in 2016 as a lead consultant in paediatric echocardiography, Dr. Di Salvo worked in a variety of organizations around the world, including Naples and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Di Salvo was appointed director of paediatric cardiology research at Royal Brompton Hospital in July 2017 and appointed honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College, London, in October 2016.
