Dr Hannah Douglas

Dr. Douglas is a consultant cardiologist with expertise in heart disease in pregnancy and adult congenital heart disease. Prior to joining Guy's and St. Thomas' as a Sub-Specialty Fellow, she earned her primary medical degree from Queen's University Belfast and carried out the majority of her medical study at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. She has been employed as a Consultant since January 2020 by the Adult Congenital Heart Disease and General Cardiology Team, where she is in charge of the Heart Disease in Pregnancy Team and helps with the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Douglas also has extra training in day case and peri-procedural transthoracic and transoesophageal echo (catheter intervention and heart surgery). In addition, she has studied pulmonary hypertension in pregnancy, chronic total occlusive coronary disease, cardiomyopathy in pregnancy, placental dysfunction, and identification of cardiovascular risk factors, as well as long-term cardiovascular health in women of childbearing age.
