Dr. Harish Jayaram

He earned his super-specialty Mch degree in paediatric surgery from the reputed Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, after completing his general surgical training in Mysore. At the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health in Bangalore, he received additional training in paediatric minimally invasive surgery. He has experience with bronchoscopic techniques (endoscopic visualisation of the airway) and has successfully removed numerous foreign bodies using these procedures. He has always performed moral and ethical surgery on kids, with a particular emphasis on sympathetic and considerate parent counselling. In Hassan, Karnataka, where he practised and oversaw all of the paediatric surgical work for the paediatric population of three districts and portions of two other districts, his passion for working with children who needed paediatric surgical care inspired him to firmly establish the concept of specialised paediatric surgical care at the district level. His primary research focus is on minimally invasive paediatric surgery, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that children who need surgery experience the least amount of pain and scarring possible and return home sooner.
